Russian journalists and bloggers held a rally outside Moscow police headquarters in downtown Moscow urging the police to investigate the attack on Kommersant correspondent Oleg Kashin properly.
Approximately 50 activists took part in the protest. One at a time they went up to the headquarters’ main entrance holding a poster that read “Journalist Oleg Kashin has been severely beaten. Find the perpetrators of this crime and those who ordered it.” Activists also urged the country’s leaders to hold a thorough investigation. They brought the text of the petition with them for people attending the protest to sign.
