Italian producer of commercial stone Santa Margherita S.p.A. plans to invest 62 million rubles (about $2 million) to establish a stone processing plant in south Russia’s Krasnodar Territory by the end of 2011, a source in the Dinsky District administration said.
An agreement was signed on Thursday between the district administration and the Italian company. The plant will be built in the village of Vishnyaki.
According to information from the territorial authorities’ website, the stone processing plant “will use modern equipment based on nanotechnology.”
The $2 million plant will create 60 jobs.
Santa Margherita S.p.A. is a Verona based company and was founded in 1962. It manufactures agglomerate made from quartz and resin and marble chips and resin.
