Russia's 2018 World Cup bid delegation will consist of famous sportspeople and businessmen, Russia's bid leader, Alexei Sorokin, said on Thursday.
"There will be plenty of colorful figures, including business representatives and footballers," Sorokin said.
The presentation of the bid, along with those of rivals England, Spain/Portugal and Holland/Belgium will take place in Switzerland on December 2. The winning country will be announced on the same day.
"I also plan to join our representatives at the presentation in Switzerland," Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin said on his official website, stressing the boost to the Russian game a successful bid would give.
Russian pole vault queen, Yelena Isinbayeva, who holds 27 world records, has already confirmed her participation.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, whose membership of the bid delegation is widely believed to have been instrumental in winning Russia the 2014 Winter Olympics, is expected to spearhead the final days of lobbying.
