A seasonal flu vaccination campaign in Russia has been completed, the country's chief sanitary doctor, Gennady Onishchenko, said.
"We can say in principle that vaccination has been completed. A total of 32.162 million people have been vaccinated," he said.
As of now, 99.5 percent of children and 99.3 percent of adults planned for vaccination have received their shots, Onishchenko said.
The flu vaccination campaign started in Russia in early October. Flu and cold outbreaks often occur in fall. Statistics show that some 1,000 Russians die from flu annually.
