Moscow is ready to develop economic and investment cooperation with Ukraine's capital, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told his counterpart from Kiev, Oleksandr Popov.
"We are ready to interact and build relations with Kiev both in the spheres of economics and investment," the Moscow mayor said Friday.
Sobyanin declared that Ukrainian businesses would always be welcome to invest in Moscow, and said he would create all necessary conditions for Ukrainian entrepreneurs to feel "protected and comfortable."
Popov in turn said his city would be pleased to cooperate with the Russian capital. The two mayors signed a joint declaration, committing themselves to expand ties in the trade and economic, investment and construction spheres.
