The Sports Journalists' Federation of Russia has chosen the top ten Russian athletes in 2010. Russia’s national team won the 2010 FIVB Women's World Championships and Yekaterina Gamova (pictured) was named Most Valuable Volleyball Player.

Skier Nikita Kryukov (pictured) won gold in the Men’s Individual Sprint cross-country event at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Yulia Yefimova (pictured) won two gold medals in the 50-meter and 100-meter breast stroke events at the 2010 European Aquatics Championships in Budapest.

Yevenia Kanayeva (pictured) became absolute world rhythmic gymnastics champion in 2010.

Olga Kaniskina (pictured) won gold in the 20-km walk at the Barcelona 2010 European Athletics Championships.

Aliya Mustafina (pictured) became absolute world gymnastics champion in 2010.

Bobsleigher Irina Skvortsova who suffered a terrible accident in November 2009 tried to overcome the consequences of the accident throughout 2010. Skvortsova, who displayed remarkable stamina, was by right included in the list.
