The Russian Supercup, which will kick off the 2011 Russian football season on Saturday March 5, will be held in the southern city of Krasnodar, the Russian Football Union (RFU) announced on Thursday.
The 2011 Russian Cup Final will be played in Yaroslavl.
The relevant decisions were taken at by the RFU's executive committee and continue a trend of taking major matches out of Moscow. The 2010 Supercup was played in the capital's Luzhniki Stadium, but this year's Russian Cup Final saw Zenit St. Petersburg beat Sibir in Rostov.
The Russian national team's August friendly against Bulgaria was moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg due to the smog from wildfires near the capital, while a November friendly against Belgium took place in Voronezh, with the home side slumping to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Belgium.
The 2011 Supercup pits double winners Zenit against league runners-up CSKA Moscow.
