The Russian Emergencies Ministry has taken all nuclear waste stored in Moscow away from the capital, the head of the ministry, Sergei Shoigu, has said.
"Over two years, we have removed almost 1,500 tons on radioactive waste from Moscow," he said in an interview with Russia's Vesti TV channel on Saturday.
The minister refused to elaborate on the location in the capital where nuclear waste had been stored.
