Heavy snowfalls and strong winds have cut electricity supply to over 88 populated areas outside Moscow, the Moscow United Electric Grid Company (MOESK) said on Sunday.
Earlier the company announced that 34 populated areas were hit by the blackout.
The Moscow airport of Domodedovo on Sunday suffered a 20-minut partial power outage, however it has not affected the operations of the airport, Domodedovo's press service said.
Massive blackouts began in the Moscow Region on December 26 after an ice storm. Freezing rain broke many power transmission lines, causing serious power outages.
