Kuwaiti schoolgirls have sewn a 2-km (1.2-mile) long national flag, Al Rai Al Aam, a local newspaper, reported Sunday.
The flag was presented to the country on the occasion of its 50th independence anniversary, to be marked February 25.
The banner will be carried in front of Al Kuwait residents during a military parade, to be held as part of the anniversary celebrations.
