Two militants and their female accomplice have been killed in a special operation in the Dagestan capital of Makhachkala, the National Antiterrorist Committee announced on Friday.
"The gunmen killed were members of a Makhachkala terrorist group and were involved in murders of and attacks on police officers," the antiterrorist committee said in a statement.
Two of the militants have already been identified as Ruslan Atavov, 40, and his wife Ilmukhanum Gendzheeva, 33.
