Russia will establish a special fund involving foreign investors in the near future, President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
"Russia will soon set up a sovereign fund that will share risks with foreign investors by means of investments into Russian economic modernization projects," he said.
Medvedev also expressed hope that foreign companies will start making loans on the ruble market already in 2011.
He reminded the forum participants of the international financial center in Moscow, which should "boost the development of financial markets on the post-Soviet space" and have influence on the markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
