Russian long-distance operator Rostelecom intends to obtain a listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in May or June, the company's president told reporters on Friday.
President Alexander Provotorov said global depository receipts (GDR) for shares of Rostelecom could trade on the LSE.
He said the company would ask the Federal Financial Markets Service for authorization to issue the maximum number of GDRs - equivalent to 25 percent of its share capital.
Provotorov said Rostelecom was negotiating to choose a custodian bank for the GDR program.
Earlier in January, Communications Minister Igor Shchyogolev said the SPO should be held as soon as possible after the current reorganization of the company, which should be complete by April 1.
