The terrorist blast at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on January 24 was aimed primarily at foreigners, investigators said on Saturday.
“It was no accident that the terrorist attack took place in the international arrivals zone,” Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.
“Investigators believe that it was directed against, in the first place, foreign nationals,” he added.
He also said that the blast was carried out by a 20-year-old resident of the country’s volatile North Caucasus region. He did not supply further details.
