The mandrill babies from the Moscow Zoo were born in mid-January, one 17 days later after the first. The two infants spend most of their time with their quiet and caring mothers. If the babies are unhappy, they cry loudly. Father mandrills are not interested in their babies. Their task is to protect the group, but they sometimes play with the babies as they grow up.
