Culture and humanitarian issues of bilateral cooperation will dominate talks during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Italy, presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko said on Tuesday.
"This time we decided to concentrate... on the humanitarian and cultural areas of our bilateral cooperation," the aide said.
Medvedev is expected to pay a visit to Italy on February 16-17. The visit coincides with an opening of a year of Russian culture and Russian language in Italy and Italian culture and Italian language in Russia.
Along with cultural and humanitarian issues, the sides will discuss European security, Russia-NATO relations, missile defense, countering new threats and challenges and inter-faith dialogue.
Medvedev and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will discuss trade and economic cooperation between the countries, especially in energy and the aircraft industry.
