This is the second S-400 regiment. It will be deployed in Dmitrov outside Moscow in March. A total of four S-400 regiments are expected to be deployed near the capital in the next few years.
On February 17, all S-400 systems will undergo live fire exercises on the Kapustin Yar testing range, after which the regiment will be relocated from the Astrakhan Region to Dmitrov.
The new S-400 missile has a range of 400 kilometers at an altitude of 40 to 50 kilometers. It is available in several configurations depending on the intended target, such as cruise missiles and hypersonic aircraft.
