A statue of King Tutankhamun which was found in the Nile River earlier on Thursday is a copy, the Egyptian news agency Mena reported.
The statue was stolen from the Egyptian Museum during anti-government riots in Cairo.
Eight objects were looted and 70 damaged in the Egyptian Museum during the unrest.
A statue of Pharaoh Akhenaten, which was stolen along with other items, was recovered earlier on Thursday. Four of the eight missing artifacts have now been located.
The looters were not able to reach the most valuable rooms in the museum, where the treasures of Tutankhamun’s tomb are stored. Police have detained several suspects.
