Unknown killers shot dead local official Ramzan Friev in the Russia's North Caucasus city of Nalchik on Saturday, a source from the law enforcement agencies of the Russia's republic of Kabardino-Balkaria said.
Friev was the head of the administration of Hasanya village, a residential neighborhood of Nalchik.
On Friday unidentified assailants opened fire on a van carrying tourists in Kabardino-Balkaria. Three people, including a woman, were killed and two others were injured.
