Russian Railways 2010 first half net profit up 370%

State rail monopoly Russian Railways' net profit for the first half of 2010 soared 370% year-on-year to 110.5 billion rubles ($3.75 billion), the company said on Thursday.

State rail monopoly Russian Railways' net profit for the first half of 2010 soared 370% year-on-year to 110.5 billion rubles ($3.75 billion), the company said on Thursday.

Revenue rose 22% to 651 billion rubles, the firm said.

Russian Railways' operating profit before federal and regional subventions increased 150% to 119.05 billion rubles.

EBITDA rose 85% to 204.76 billion rubles, while EBITDA margin increased 10 percentage points to 31%.
