Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may hold a bilateral meeting in Geneva in the nearest future, a diplomatic source told RIA Novosti on Saturday.
Lavrov will visit Switzerland between February 28 and March 1 in order to take part in the 16th session of the UN Human Rights Council and address a plenary session of the Conference of Disarmament.
"The possibility to hold a bilateral meeting between the Russian foreign minister and the U.S. secretary of state at the sidelines of the session of the UN Human Rights Council is currently being discussed," the source said.
Lavrov and Clinton are expected to discuss the Mideast political crisis and, particularly, the bloody protests raging across Libya.
