Three militants were killed in a special operation near the village of Yandi in the North Caucasus Republic of Chechnya, the republic's leader Ramzan Kadyrov said on Saturday.
The Chechen leader initially said two militants were killed, but later announced that the third body was recovered after the special operation.
'The body of the third militant was found when the special operation area was examined after the skirmish," Kadyrov said.
Arms and explosives were also uncovered at the scene. None of the law enforcers who participated in the operation was injured. Kadyrov emphasized that other three militants were eliminated near the same village on Friday.
"Warlord Doku Umarov and other militant leaders sent these two groups to commit grave crimes. The special operation helped to prevent more militant attacks," Kadyrov said.
