Russia's Alexei Volkov has won the gold medal in the men's 12.5 km pursuit at the European Biathlon Championship in Ridnaun, Italy.
Volkov finished the distance in 39 minutes and 35.7 seconds. Bulgaria's Krasimir Anev was second with 18.1 seconds behind the leader while France's Jean Guillaume Beatrix finished third with 34.2 seconds behind the Russian skier.
