Russian tennis star Vera Zvonareva said she did not expect to win the final of the Qatar Ladies Open in Doha and thanked fans for supporting her at the tournament, the WTA website said.
"Coming into this tournament I wasn't expecting to end my week like this. It's great," Zvonareva said adding: "This has been an unbelievable event."
World number three Zvonareva defeated top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday.
"I have so many fans here it's unbelievable. Because of them I was able to come through this week," she said.
