A court in the southern German city of Munich sentenced an Austrian man to one year in jail for spying for Russia, local media said.
Harald Alois, 54, was arrested on May 27 for supplying Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service with information about helicopter technologies being developed by the global helicopter manufacturing firm, Eurocopter.
The court found that Alois had received around 5,700 euros for supplying the Russian side with log books and inspection records between 1997 and 2002.
Alois also tried to obtain information about NH 90 and Tiger helicopters, the court said.
