Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will hold talks with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden in Moscow on March 10, Putin's spokesman said on Friday.
Biden will arrive in the Russian capital on March 9 and will be received by President Dmitry Medvedev on the same day.
Putin and Biden will discuss the future of U.S.-Russian bilateral relations, Russia's progress in joining the World Trade Organization, and other pressing international issues, including Afghanistan and the recent uprisings in the Middle East.
A Kremlin source earlier said Biden's visit is a run-up to an official visit to Moscow by U.S. President Barack Obama.
