Natalia Kantemurova from Moscow was crowned Miss Russia 2011 on Saturday.
Along with the title and the crown, Kantemurova received a cash prize of $100,000 and a grant to study at any university anywhere in the world.
Throughout the year, the winner will engage in a variety of charitable, social and cultural events that promote healthy and successful lifestyle, positive attitude to life and strive for education.
The pageant's finals were held at the Barvikha Luxury Village concert hall in Moscow's suburbs.
Qualifying rounds took place in 86 regions of Russia in November-December last year. The opportunity to take part in the competition was offered to any young woman who met the requirements of the pageant: age from 17 to 23 years, height - over 175 centimeters, Russian citizenship, and the absence of bad habits.
The 50 finalists arrived in Moscow on February 12 and spent almost a month in preparation for the March 5 event. The contestants had to maintain a strict diet and exercise at least six hours a day.
