Zenit St. Petersburg beat FC CSKA Moscow 1-0 on Sunday to win Russia's Super Cup.
The sole goal in the match, which was held in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, was scored on the 73rd minute by Zenit's Alexei Ionov who was assisted by ex-CSKA player Sergei Semak.
Zenit have clinched their second Super Cup title after winning the trophy in 2008. CSKA Moscow are four-time holders of the title.
The Russian Super Cup has kicked off the 2011 Russian football season. The Super Cup match was played for the first time outside Moscow. The relevant decision was taken by the Russian Football Union's executive committee and continues a trend of taking major matches out of the Russian capital.
