Croatia introduces again a visa-free travel regime for citizens of Russia starting April 1 and until October 31 to increase the number of tourists.
The visa-free travel regime was also introduced for citizens of Ukraine and Kazakhstan, the country's authorities said.
Croatia first unilaterally introduced the visa-free travel regime for Russians and Ukrainians in April of 2009 to boost the inflow of tourists into the country against the backdrop of the global financial crisis.
The Croatian national statistics bureau says last year 165,000 Russian tourists visited Croatia, which was a 35 percent increase against the previous year.
In the Balkans, Russians also enjoy visa-free travel regimes with Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.
