Putin does not rule out the possibility of running for president in 2012
Sputnik International
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said neither he nor President Dmitry Medvedev ruled out the possibility of their joining the presidential race in 2012. But it is too early to talk about it, the premier said.
In his recent interview with the Chinese media before a visit to a BRIC summit in China, Medvedev said it was not impossible that he would run for a new presidential term. But he said the decision must be “mature” and “based on the current situation in society.”
