The management board of Russia's state-controlled gas giant Gazprom has proposed the company board raise its 2010 dividend by 13% to 2.7 rubles per share, a source close to the situation said on Thursday.
"Gazprom may channel 17.5% of its 2010 net profit for dividends. The dividend will amount to 2.7 rubles per share," the source told RIA Novosti.
The source said the proposal was based on net profit to Russian Accounting Standards.
Gazprom also paid a 17.5% of net profit dividend on 2009 results.
In October, Gazprom approved a new dividend policy which raised the dividend ceiling to 35% of net profit from 30%.
