Reinforced police details provided security during the massive protest rally. Metal detectors were set up at the entrance to Sakharov Avenue. Police officers and traffic police vehicles, as well as ambulances, were also sent there.
Young people, activists with Nashi youth movement, gathered on Sakharov Avenue and announced the creation of the STOP CORRUPTION committee for public oversight of state procurement programs. Everyone wishing to join the committee could sign up during the protest.
No incidents were reported during the two-hour protest.
