These giants became sexually mature at the age of 23. Their newborns were almost as small as human babies but doubled in size within five days and then doubled again within the next seven days. Scientists think these dinosaurs that had the world’s longest necks ever, grew in size till 35 years.
Scientists have created the first interactive model of a Mamenchisaurus in the next room to its skeleton, which is so big it almost did not fit in the museum. The “animated” version shows realistic skin, muscles and internal organs.
The largest dinosaur, the Argentinosaurus, weighed 90 tons or as much as 15 adult male African elephants.
