Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has ordered his deputies to take personal control of Russia's federal watchdogs, the finance minister said on Wednesday.
First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov was put in charge of controlling border checkpoints, mail services, and airport and railroad station services.
Igor Sechin will supervise technological control and subsoil use; Alexander Zhukov will be in charge of sanitary and epidemiological issues; and Dmitry Kozak - state control and construction.
Igor Shuvalov will coordinate fire safety, visa issuance and work permit issues.
