A Royal Couple of tigers, William and Kate, made their debut before the public at the Rio de Janeiro Zoo of on Thursday.
The zoo received two Bengal tigers on Monday from the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. The grand opening of the specially prepared "tiger house" was held the day before the Royal Wedding of British Prince William and Kate Middleton. The tigers were named after the prince and his bride-to-be.
Staff members of the zoo hope that four-year-old William and five-year-old Kate will become a stable couple and bear offspring.
