Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will hold his first Q&A session with domestic and foreign media on May 18 in the Skolkovo School of Management, Medvedev's spokeswoman, Natalia Timakova said on Wednesday.
This will be Medvedev's first Q&A session since becoming president in 2008. More than 800 Russian and foreign journalists are expected to attend. Unlike Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who holds annual online conversations with people across Russia, Medvedev has chosen the world's leading media outlets to speak about the country's top priorities, focusing on the Skolkovo innovation hub.
"This venue has been chosen on purpose. A huge number of Russian and foreign press are expected to participate, and they will be interested in looking at the project [of the Skolkovo innovation hub], to see its realization for themselves," Timakova said.
The Skolkovo Congress Hall that will host the event has a 650-seat capacity and a modern 400-seat multimedia-equipped room for journalists.
