Cannes Film Festival regular Woody Allen brought his latest film, “Midnight in Paris,” a story about a writer who goes to Paris with his fiancee to visit the places where his idols – F. Faye Dunaway (right), whose image was used on the poster for the 64th festival, graced the first evening of the festival with her presence. Antonio Banderas appeared on the red carpet with his beloved wife of many years Melanie Griffith.

Director Emir Kusturica heads this year's Un Certain Regard jury, which features two Russian films – Bakur Bakuradze's “The Hunter” and Andrei Zvyagintsev’s “Yelena.”
