Azerbaijan’s duo Ell and Nikki won Eurovision’s first prize, taking home its crystal microphone trophy with a score of 221. Russia, Turkey and Malta all awarded the pair the highest individual score possible – 12 points.
Second place went to Italy’s Raphael Gualazzi with 189 points, and the Swedish singer Eric Saade came third with 185 points.
Alexei Vorobyov, Russia’s entry, ended up in 16th place, gaining 77 points with his song “Get You.” Despite this result, Vorobyov is pleased with the competition results.
