Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan on Friday.
The consultations will take place as part of the G8 summit in the northwest French city of Deauville. Medvedev will also take part in three meetings on Friday.
The first meeting will see discussions of political issues and problems of the fight against terrorism, after which a final declaration is to be adopted.
The second meeting will gather the leaders of Egypt and Tunisia, as well as the United Nations, the World Bank, the IMF and the Arab League to consider G8 support for social, economic and political reforms in the region.
The third gathering will be dedicated to security issues in Africa, including drug trafficking, terrorism, organized crime and human trafficking. A statement will be adopted.
In the afternoon, Medvedev will hold talks with the Japanese premier. The Russian president will then give a news conference on the two days of the G8 summit and his meetings with G8 counterparts.
