Russian Presidential Aide Arkady Dvorkovich has no intentions of joining the All-Russia People's Front, which was formed upon an initiative of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"I won't join [the Front], even if there is an invitation," Dvorkovich wrote on Friday in his microblog on Twitter, answering a question whether he intends to join the People's Front and whether he received any offers.
Putin called for the creation of the All-Russia People's Front at a conference of the ruling United Russia party on May 6 to broaden the party's electoral base with "non-party people," including trade unions, NGOs, business associations and youth groups.
Analysts see Putin's move as a bid to boost his United Russia party's flagging popularity and head off a potentially damaging poor showing in upcoming parliamentary elections.
The front so far includes more than 450 community organizations.
