The only Russian tractor race Bison-Track-Show took place in Rostov region on June 5. Thirty-seven participants mainly from Rostov region, but also from Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, and a few guests from Ukraine took part in the show.
The tractor races were divided into seven stages: time race, paired races, and competitions in bunker silo (several moves back and forth in a muddy ditch filled with water).
According to the referee, there had been no restrictions on what kind of tractors could participate in the race. The maximum speed made at the mud-locked road was 68 km/h.
The Bizon-Track-Show tractor race has been held in Rostov region since 2002. The competition program changes annually: tracks are becoming more complex, new springboards, dangerous turns and water barriers are being introduced. In the previous years, a Belarus tractor was the main trophy. The 2011 winner was awarded with a Challenger tractor.
