Nine Russian football officials were elected on Friday for various posts in committees of the European Union of Football Associations (UEFA).

Nine Russian football officials were elected on Friday for various posts in committees of the European Union of Football Associations (UEFA).

On Friday, the UEFA Executive Committee finished its two-day meeting in Nyon, Switzerland, where among other issues it approved the proposed list of appointments for UEFA committees for 2011-2013.

Among the appointed Russian officials are Sport, Tourism and Youth Policies Minister Vitaly Mutko and Sergei Fursenko, the president of the Russian Football Union.

The full list of all executives in UEFA committees will be published on UEFA.com once the new committees come into effect on July 1.
