Moscow transportation authorities are investigating an incident at Russia's busiest Domodedovo Airport, in which a woman managed to pass unnoticed through security and document controls and board a plane.
The incident took place last Friday, the Moscow transport prosecutor's office said in a statement on Monday. The woman was reported to have boarded the plane bound to the Tajik capital of Dushanbe without undergoing any security procedures.
The prosecutor's office is working to establish those responsible for the incident, the statement said.
The poor security level at Domodedovo Airport came to light after a deadly terrorist attack in January when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the airport's international arrivals zone, killing 37 people and injuring dozens.
Officials have claimed to have strengthened security at the airport, as well as at other transport infrastructure objects and public places, including metal detectors installed at the entrances to Domodedovo Airport.
