Enos Ned Banda, former head of Global Investment and Corporate Banking Department at HSBC Holdings PLC, has been elected an independent non-executive director to the board of Russia's largest nickel maker Norilsk Nickel, thus replacing Andrei Klishas, a RIA Novosti correspondent said on Tuesday.
Earlier it was reported that Klishas, who also holds the presidency in Nornickel, plans to focus on his political career and is currently in talks with United Russia to place his candidacy for the State Duma in December's elections.
The remaining members of the company's board were reelected.
Norilsk Nickel's board now includes Enos Ned Banda, Andrei Bugrov, Larisa Zelkova, Sergei Barbashev, Marianna Zakharova, Bradford Alan Mills, Oleg Deripaska, Maxim Sokov, Vladimir Strzhalkovky, Alexander Voloshin, Lucian Bebchuk, Claude Dauphin and Ardavan Moshiri.
