Russia's Elena Vesnina and her ladies' doubles partner, India's Sania Mirza, reached the semifinals of the 2011 Wimbledon tennis tournament after a three-set quarterfinal victory on Wednesday.
The fourth-seeded pair defeated Spain's Nuria Llagostera Vives and Arantxa Parra Santonja 3-6, 6-4, 7-5.
Vesnina and Mirza will play Chinese pair Shuai Peng and Jie Zheng for a spot in the final.
In the other ladies' doubles semifinal, Russia's Nadia Petrova and Australia's Anastasia Rodionova will play against Sabine Lisicki from Germany and Australian Samantha Stosur.
