Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrived at the Buryatian village of Tugnui – to visit Dasha Varfolomeyeva, who three years ago received a gift from the premier, a “dress like Cinderella’s”.
The premier, whom Dasha asked for the dress in a live broadcast of program “Conversation with Vladimir Putin” in 2008, then invited the girl to Moscow for tea.
This Friday, Putin, who flew to Tugnui on a helicopter, visited Dash – and she and her family treated the premier to tea and national Buryatian dishes.
Then the premier examined the almost ready complex - it includes a new school with a pre-schooling center, sports field, recording studio, library and gym.
The premier went to see the new center with Dasha, her sister, their mother and the head of Buryatia Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, who was also at the tea party. Photo: Dasha Varfolomeyeva with sister and mother during a stroll around the village.
Almost immediately the premier was presented with a Buryatian khadak – a long blue scarf, which Putin, following the tradition, wore the entire time he was in the village.
The head of the Cabinet was shown a new feldsher-midwife station, boasting the latest appliances, for 45 kids, classrooms and gym - there Putin remarked on the diversity and quantity of sports equipment. Photo: Vladimir Putin inspecting a school in the Tugnui village.
