“Something awesome” from Facebook

The world’s largest social network Facebook will launch a new feature today, which the site’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckenberg, described as “something awesome”.

Representatives of Facebook have been keeping details secret, fueling the heated online debate regarding the nature of the new service.

According to the technology blog TechCruch, the network is likely to unveil a new in-browser video chat function, developed in partnership with the internet phone service Skype. This, however, is just one of many rumors and Facebook might present something entirely different.
