A court in Georgia jailed nine people on Wednesday, including four Russians, on espionage charges.
Russian Yury Skrilnikov was jailed for 14 years. His co-defendants were jailed for at least 11 years.
Skrilnikov’s lawyer said before the trial that his patient was suffering from a fatal illness and was unable to walk.
The Russian Foreign Ministry earlier called Georgia’s claims to have uncovered a spy ring “propaganda.”
