35 people died and over 200 were injured after a train derailed in the Uttar Pradesh state in northern India on Sunday, Railway officials said.
Earlier reports said about 20 victims and 100 injured.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday in the Fatehpur district when 14 passenger cars of the train heading to New Delhi from Howrah derailed for an unknown reason.
The experts said the train's speed during the accident was over 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour). The causes of the tragedy are still unknown. The investigation is underway.
Over 200 policemen and servicemen assist in the rescue operation on the scene of the tragedy, local media said.
