A fire broke out at a military base near central Moscow on Friday, accompanied by a series of explosions.
A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry told RIA Novosti there were no noxious substances on the premises and there was no danger to public health.
He confirmed earlier reports there were no injuries.
The fire spread over an area of around 400 square meters before it was brought under control.
According to some reports, the explosions could have been caused by oxygen and acetylene tanks stored in a warehouse on the base.
More than 10 fire trucks were at the scene. The nearby street, Baumanskaya Ulitsa, was closed to traffic.
